The Tour of the Battenkill is well famed for its truly stunning country side. As we rode the 68 miles of hills, quiet dirt roads and open plains, we passed through farms and historical residences that were likely first builds, and seemingly well maintained with pride. Cows, goats, sheep, deer, fox, ostrich and a few unleashed domestic (?) dogs filled the course with character.  

The most publicized image is a red covered bridge, and you can see why below. This photo was taken of our teammate John Van Vranken leading a climb shortly after passing through the covered bridge.
