Tall Sock Racing heads to Tour of the Battenkill

Our Pre-Race Course Ride:

Here's 6.5 minutes to get to know Tall Sock Racing at the Tour of the Battenkill.

This weekend was a rather epic one for our new team. We braved the historical "Queen of Classics" in Greenwich New York called the Tour of the Battenkill. This was the first road race this season for the team and the first road race for several team members. The nerves were apparently motivational.

We were well prepared and pampered by the rich accommodations at Hotel Brown. In Bennington Vermont. A big thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Brown for their warm hospitality. Waking up to backyard views like this was amazing.

Pre-race morning flew by with travel and set up, then suddenly we were at the starting line. The officials called out the start and the 68 mile race on some very unique terrains unfolded.

It was an outstanding course that held up its reputation as being a significant challenge. We had teammates in several categories and everyone road to levels beyond expectation. Not all was podiums and chocolate milk however. We did have one casualty from a early crash when a teammate was taken down from a crashed rider ahead of him. We hope for a fast and comfortable recovery for the "Stiv".
